Meet Our Team
Introducing our team — a passionate, creative and progressive group, dedicated to ending America’s tragic and wasteful war on wildlife
Cinematographer Paul Garrett is an award-winning video producer and internationally published wildlife photographer. He has over 25 years of experience in video and film, including 9 years at MGM/UA and Universal Pictures in S. California. Paul grew up with a deep respect for nature and a great love of traveling. Working with Brooks Fahy, Paul has filmed and co-produced all Predator Defense documentaries to date, including EXPOSED: USDA’s Secret War on Wildlife, which just won Best Wildlife Activism at the 2014 Wildlife Conservation Film Festival and Best Short Film at the 2015 Animal Film Festival.
A long-time defender of wildlife, our Senior Native Carnivore Advocate, Sally Mackler, founded San Diego Animal Advocates and the San Diego Feral Cat Coalition. Since moving to Oregon in 1993, she has served on our board of directors, as well as the boards of S. Oregon Humane Society, Friends of the Animal Shelter, and the Oregon Chapter of the Sierra Club. In addition to providing us with expertise on predator issues, Sally currently directs Spay Neuter Your Pet.
An ardent animal lover, traveler and gardener, our Communications Director, Pam Round, has over 25 years of experience writing and designing educational and marketing materials for organizations large and small. Pam created and maintains our website and manages our Facebook and Twitter pages. She also designs and writes our newsletters, and provides strategic input on our expanding outreach campaigns. Rumor has it she is a cat whisperer.
